Which is difference between BMW icom items?

Why you find so many BMW ICOM items in the market what is the difference between them. This is provided by an obd2 tool dealer in USA.

Actually, BMW ICOM includes many items with different specifications for different demand of people. And the post share today is icom without HDD, ICOM with HDD and icom a2.

Icom without HDD and ICOM with HDD is both supporting latest programming, diagnosing, coding and complete system BMW diagnostic tool, possessing the full system that replaces DIS GT1/SSS/OPS and OPPS. They provide to process icom A, B and c modules and that is to say compatible with OBD vehicles, programming via MOST port, and working with old model series with diagnostic socket in engine compartment.

Besides, icom a2 is with similar functions, but with super version functions, and those are supporting OBD diagnosis on vehicles with MOST, D-CAN and K-CAN protocols via MOST bus, and have connection to A-interface via USB connection; providing 20-PIN cable for old models.

Icom without HDD runs with win 7, cpu i5 and over 4gb memory. As for BMW ICOM with internal hard disk, users could directly insert internal hard disk into computer, and open computer to diagnose and program, and better work with computer win7, 64 bit.

Installation is sometimes a confused problem to operators, such as installing ICOM without HDD. For instance, it is with password for run software. Here provides you to be in case of encounter the same problem. When turning on BMW ICOM software the password is lowercase “bmw”. When accessed the interface of password 1or password 2 interfaces, the password of interface of password 1 should be “BMW”. The password 2 is no need to input anything. Then you can load the software.
